FRP Anti-Corrosion Materials Built for Harsh Industrial Environments
Industrial facilities live with acid, alkali, salt spray, thermal cycling, abrasion and groundwater attack — and conventional alloys or coats often fail early and cost a fortune to maintain. We supply a complete range of FRP anti-corrosion materials: glass flake putty, fiberglass mat and cloth, unsaturated / epoxy / vinyl ester resins, coal tar epoxy paint, and epoxy / polyurethane / acrylic floor coatings. We focus on raw-material supply, with construction guidance and on-site application available when you need them, so you pick the right material and execute every layer correctly. For the basic properties of the material, see the Fiber-reinforced plastic article. With Tosun, your FRP anti-corrosion materials rest on field-proven formulations and workmanship.
In this article
Glass Flake Putty
Vinyl-ester glass flake mortar for heavy lining of vessel walls, basins and floors — impermeable and thermal-shock resistant.
Fiberglass Mat/Cloth + Resin
Unsaturated / epoxy / vinyl ester resin with surfacing veil and glass cloth — hand lay-up or filament winding for lining and full FRP parts.
Heavy-Duty Coatings
Coal tar epoxy for buried / submerged pipe and steel; paired with zinc-rich primer and micaceous iron intermediate.
Floor Coating Series
Epoxy, polyurethane and acrylic floor paints for workshops, tank farms, walkways and platforms — abrasion, chemical and easy-clean.
Why Choose Tosun Tech’s FRP Anti-Corrosion Materials
We deliver more than materials — a complete engineering partnership that lowers your risk, shortens the schedule and secures coating life. Learn about the company and certifications on the About Tosun Tech page. Our FRP anti-corrosion materials are already used for equipment lining and flooring in chlor-alkali, sulfuric acid, agrochemical, wastewater and new-energy plants.
- Complete material system: flake putty, fiberglass mat/cloth, three resin families and four coating types from one source — no mismatch between suppliers
- Material by condition: media, temperature, concentration, abrasion and substrate decide the resin grade and lining structure — never one recipe for all
- Raw-material focus, flexible delivery: standard grades in stock; small trial batches and emergency top-ups ship fast
- Construction guidance + on-site work: we supply mix ratio, procedure cards and QC standards; we can send supervisors or take the whole job
- One supplier, one warranty: materials and application come from a single Tosun system — clear accountability, easy traceability, no finger-pointing
Material Specification Comparison
All four material families can be customized in resin grade, thickness and number of coats. The table below shows typical configurations; final selection is signed off after media and substrate review.

Frequently Asked Questions
How to choose between flake putty and a full FRP lining?
For concrete/brick basins and heavy anti-permeation duty, vinyl-ester flake putty is preferred; for metal equipment or load-bearing parts, use glass cloth + resin hand lay-up. They are often combined — flake putty as seal coat, glass cloth as reinforcement.
When do unsaturated, epoxy and vinyl ester resins apply?
Unsaturated polyester is low cost and resists neutral salt and weak acid/alkali for general duty; epoxy has strong adhesion and alkali resistance for floors and steel; vinyl ester resists strong oxidizers and acids for chlor-alkali, sulfuric acid and hypochlorite.
Where is coal tar epoxy suitable?
Mainly for buried pipe, submerged steel and crossings as external protection against soil and microbial corrosion; paired with zinc-rich primer and micaceous iron for long service. For exposed or colored finish, switch to pure epoxy / polyurethane systems.
How to choose epoxy, polyurethane and acrylic floor paint?
Heavy-load, chemical and seamless workshops take epoxy floor; elastic, weather-resistant outdoor walkways take polyurethane; light-load, fast-dry, low-cost lanes take acrylic. Substrate moisture and load decide thickness and primer.
Do you provide guidance or on-site construction?
Both. We focus on raw-material supply: we can ship material only with ratio and procedure cards plus remote guidance, send supervisors, or have Tosun take the whole job and issue a QC report.
